T he FUNDACION HISPANA DE OSTEOPOROSIS Y ENFERMEDADES METABOLICAS OSEAS (F.H.O.E.M.O.) was created in 1988 to promote the knowledge and understanding of the pathophysiology, diagnosis, prevention and treatment of osteoporosis and other metabolic bone diseases. It became a public non-profit Foundation by Royal Law on 1993 (B.O.E. 10 December).
